Congratulations to Emerson Process Management for re-inventing process control again with the DeltaVTM S-Series!
Emerson, long a leader in process control with the DeltaV family of digital automation systems, decided it was time to leapfrog the industry once again. Facing the new world of a retiring workforce, inexperienced replacements and rapid advances in technology, they knew that a different approach to product development would be required. What they needed was a way to leverage new advances in technology to create not just a faster version of the DeltaV systems, but an entirely new approach to making process control more effective.
Emerson’s drive to Human Centered Design guided them to M3 Design’s product development experts to help uncover the best way to solve their challenges. M3′s [applied] design thinking techniques were applied to the challenge to determine the best way to deliver the key advantages of “CHARM” technology and “I/O on Demand”.
The result is a new award-winning system that is turning the market on its ear by providing clear, fundamental advantages in a user-centric, intuitive way to all of the stakeholders in the chain from the Emerson Sales Team, to the Plant Process Engineers to the Maintenance Team.
