I see the problem. Oops that seems to be my finger. My bad.

Electrical Engineering

Experience. Breadth. Results.

You are an innovator. Innovators are not like most people. Innovators are driven to create solutions to challenges that others do not yet see. Innovators combine new and existing technologies in ways that have never been tried.

If your idea requires electronics, you need help from a team that is able to understand your ideas and that is able to work with you to deliver on the promise of your ideas. You need a team with experience, breadth of knowledge and problem-solving skills. You need a team that can help you avoid the pitfalls in the creation process and that can provide the insight necessary to successfully architect, design and build your ideas.

With over 150 years of combined electrical design experience in areas as diverse as high-speed servers, pet products and portable consumer devices, M3 Design is your solution. The electrical engineering team at M3 Design works with you to define your product’s electronic content and uses their extensive experience to uncover the optimal solution. The team then designs the product with you and works to ensure the design is producible and supportable.

The M3 Electrical team is driven to see your product succeed.

EE Expertise

Integrated. Flexible.

The M3 EE team is an integrated component of the M3 organization. Our engineers are from industries as varied as automotive, high reliability telecommunications, digital storage and consumer electronics. We have successfully designed products as complex as personal computers on 9 inch square cards to products as simple as LED controllers. We have technical expertise that spans the range of architecture, digital design, power design, motion control, compliance engineering and firmware / software development. We will combine any of these skills as needed to solve your challenges.

PDA Reference Design

M3 Design regularly works with technology providers interested in demonstrating the capability of their technology to their potential customers. A recent client needed a way to showcase their new low-power, high-performance processor chip. M3 Design and the client decided that the best way to accomplish the client’s goal was to develop an inexpensive portable device. The device could then be given to potential customers as a reference design. Working with the client, the M3 ID team, the M3 ME team and others, the M3 EE team created a board set for a reference PDA. The reference PDA provided both a live example of the CPU’s capabilities and a set of design documentation that could be used as a starting point for new mass production PDA designs. M3 built, tested and delivered the reference PDA devices.

DFx

A great design isn’t very useful unless it can be built cost effectively and with high quality. That’s why M3 electrical engineers always create their designs with superior product quality and the supply chain in mind. This is known as Design For “x” or DFx, “x” being a large spectrum of requirements. The idea is that the product must be designed with the capabilities of the supply chain, regulatory environment, and service capabilities in mind. Ensuring every M3 design can be built, tested, and serviced while meeting quality, regulatory, reliability and increasingly green standards such as RoHS and WEEE is critical to success. This is an extremely dynamic environment, and M3 engineers invest significant time and energy keeping up to date to ensure our designs anticipate these needs.
