In concert with the Dell server and experience design group, M3 was asked to help evolve the Dell server line and integrate their next generation design language. The T610 is both rack-mountable and also capable of use at desk side, designed specifically to support small to medium sized business growth with a small footprint, highly flexible solution, than can expand to meet the needs of a larger IT infrastructure. The challenge with a product that has multiple operational models is the optimization of design and usability elements to serve the differing needs of multiple users. M3’s approach was to iterate through full scale hi fidelity models that were evaluated with the existing enterprise class products in order to rationalize a design aesthetic that that is consistent with rack based equipment as well as standalone tower products.
